Our main aim is to offer well-being, adventure and fun in respect of nature in the peaceful environment of Purola Farm. You may choose among a multitude of activities, riding (all year long), swimming, fishing, picking berries or mushrooms, walking, Nordic walking, cycling, enjoying sauna, skiing, ice-skating, snowshoe walking, feeding animals, helping in the farm work ... or just relax and take it easy. Kids can run around at their ease, no traffic! The whole area is somehow a big playing ground with a small football field, a badmington field, petanque game, mölkky, frisbee-golf, table-tennis ...

In summertime you will enjoy the small beach at the lake with fire place, beach sauna, 2 rowing boats and a canoe.

In winter time we prepare with our snowmobile a 5 km long skiing slope starting at the guest house door and leading through the unique winter scenery of Purola Farm (with an existing connection to the local skiing tracks of Pajupuro with grilling possibility at the Kota).

4 pairs of snowshoes are at your disposal (free of charge)
Kids can enjoy a short cross country slope (about 100 m long) or try the small sledge hill and have fun in the snow!

On top Saarijärvi region offers a multitude of leisure activities; downhill and cross-country skiing, swimming pool, amusement park for children, museums, concerts, Kukonhiekka dancing place in summertime, walking paths in nature parks…

For all canoeing fans we recommend the Saarijärvi Rapids, part of the 82 km long Saarijärvi whitewater route with 22 rapids, rivers and lakes. Another option is the ”Seven Lake Paddling Route”.
